Albert Racinet traveled to Egypt over 100 years ago and made these beautiful recreations of the art and design he saw. Beautifully observed and realized, this card set pattern is taken from an authentic ancient Egyptian pattern from his travels.

Albert-Charles-Auguste-Racinet (1825-1893) was a French costume historian, painter, illustrator, and author. Racinet's publication L'Ornement Polychrome is a monumental collection of more than 100 richly-colored lithographic plates depicting decorative artwork from ancient civilizations through the 19th century.
